Physical Education
At Briercliffe Primary School, we believe that physical education, school sport and physical activity plays an integral part in helping to build self-confident, resilient and, above all, happy and healthy children. At our school, we provide all our children with the opportunity to be physically active every day through a combination of formal P.E lessons, structured playtime activities and a wide range of clubs and events. It is through these areas that we continue to improve not only our children’s physical health and fitness but also their mental wellbeing and character development. Opportunities to develop teamwork, co-operation, empathy, respect and reflection are threaded throughout our P.E curriculum, leading to well-rounded, confident children who want to continue to enjoy being physically active throughout their lives.
