W/c 15.12.25

The children have had a very busy week this week. They sang beautifully at Church on Monday for our carol concert and have cracked some Christmas maths codes in class.

The children really enjoyed learning different commands in computing in order to create an algorithm. They were able to create algorithms to make their initials in Logo.
In PÉ, the children worked with a partner to develop a sequence that involved a travel, a one-foot balance, a jump stretch and either an arch or a bowl balance. Each pair performed their sequence, listened to feedback and then improved their sequence.
Our History lesson was about gods and goddesses in the Ancient Egyptian times. We learnt that they believed in many gods and goddesses and that this is called polytheism. We looked at some gods and goddesses, learnt what they were the gods of and what their features were.
In our DT work we learn three different types of stitch- running stitch, overstitch and blanket stitch. We displayed resilience to practice these three skills.
