Were the Vikings Really Just Brutal Invaders?

In History, we have been learning all about the Vikings and exploring what life was really like during their time. This week, the children examined a range of Viking artefacts and used evidence to decide whether the Vikings were solely brutal invaders, or whether they were also skilled settlers, raiders, and traders. The class showed excellent historical thinking, using clues and discussion to challenge stereotypes and deepen their understanding of this fascinating period.
