Online Safety Week 09.02.26
As part of our Online Safety Week, we held an AI-focused assembly followed by a dedicated computing lesson to further support the children’s understanding of how to stay safe online, particularly when using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
During the week, the children learnt what AI is, how it is used, and how to think critically about the information they see online, including the risks of misinformation. In their lesson, we reinforced how to use AI safely and responsibly.
We are proud of the thoughtful discussions and creative work produced. Below are examples of the children’s work from the week,, demonstrating how AI can generate illustrations when given clear and detailed prompts. The children created their own drawings and/or wrote detailed descriptions as AI prompts. This helped them understand how clear instructions shape outcomes, while reinforcing the safe and responsible use of technology.
