Reading 

We would encourage all children to read to an adult every night for at least 15 - 20 minutes and to have their reading record signed. In Year 4, books must be in school to be checked on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. When children have finished their reading book, they should put their books into the 'my book needs changing box' to have them replaced.

Homework

The children's spellings will be sent home on a Friday. They will have a week to practise these in preparation for their spelling test the following Friday. Spelling lists will be sent home on paper, to practise in their homework book and set on Spelling Shed which can be accessed online. All children have their log in details for this in their homework books.

This year, we are focusing on the importance of learning our multiplication tables. We currently have weekly 'Class Battles' where the children battle it out to become 'Master Performers'. The winning class will be presented with a trophy. We would encourage all children to be accessing Times Table Rockstars at least three times a week. This can be accessed online or via the app. All children have their log in details for this in their homework book. 

PE

Our PE days are Monday and Thursday. Please make sure children have their full PE kit in school and it would be really helpful if items of clothing are labelled.
