Our Learning
The children have made a fantastic start to Year 2 and are settling in wonderfully.
In maths this week we have been learning about place value of 2 digit numbers. We have been learning how to make these numbers in different ways using mathematical equipment.

What a busy week we have had in year 2! During our PSHE lesson we voted for our class school councillors. The results have been revealed in our celebration assembly this morning. Keep your eyes peeled for a picture of them both coming soon.
In DT we tasted and evaluated existing pasta salads in preparation for designing and making our own. The children really enjoyed this activity and used lots of interesting adjectives to describe the smell, taste and texture of the pasta dishes.
In maths we have been learning about measures. The children have been brilliant at measuring with a ruler to the nearest CM. They have enjoyed using the balancing scales to measure the mass of classroom objects in kilograms and grams.
