The School Council

At Briercliffe Primary School we are proud to have pupil representatives that take part in school council meetings. The school council aims to make improvements to the school and the way we do things at Briercliffe. We work together to listen to the voices of all children at our school and look for ways to make changes for the better. This may be ideas to improve playtimes, after school clubs, lessons or what charities we want to support through fund-raising activities. Sometimes we have to speak to teachers, lead meetings and give feedback to the rest of our class. Our role is very important because we represent the thoughts, feelings and ideas of every child in our school.

Our SWAT Ambassadors

Meet our fantastic SWAT (School’s Working Achieving Together) Ambassadors for 2022-23. . You can look out for them as they wear their new badges. The symbol of the badge shows children’s hands joining together in the school colours from each school as a symbol of collaboration and respect.

This year, our SWAT Ambassadors will be working with 12 other schools around the theme of DIVERSITY.

Mental Health Champions

We are very proud to introduce you to our Mental Health Champions for 2022-23. They play a vital role in our school in helping their peers make healthy lifestyle choices that effect our mental health. Throughout the year, they will be responsible for organising a range of activities, for all our children, to help boost both physical and mental wellbeing.
